A Rabies awareness talk was organised by Sri Vidya Niketan Smart School, in Bengaluru . About 200 students and teaching faculty participated in the event. Mr. L.S. Shama Sundara Sharma Chairman and Managing Trustee of Sri Vidya Niketan Smart Schools educational Trust was in the chair. Mrs. Girija Gangadhar was the dignitary who graced the event.
Dr. N.L. Gangadhar , Sr. Scientist (Zoonosis) delivered the lecture highlighting an elaborate insight in to Rabies,Causes for its endemicity in India, the global scenario, the status in Karnataka and Bengaluru, and DOS and DONTs of the disease.
During discussion immense curiosity was shown by the audience about the good contribution of GARC and the mission "ZERO RABIES BY 2030"
Young participants sought several clarifications during the interactive session.
The gathering took out a procession in the campus in support of global efforts to end Rabies by 2030
