Social Media Campaign is started in the month of September for spreading awareness regarding Rabies; the facts, the myths, the prevention, the control, the Vaccination and many more through different posters on the social media accounts of SAVERS.
An awareness walk is organized in University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) , Lahore by Special Animals & Veterinary Emergency Relief Society (SAVERS). A number of Veterinarians, students and teaching staff will be part of this and spread awareness regarding Rabies by holding flex and posters.
A free Vaccination Camp will be arranged at Pet Centre in UVAS, where hundreds of pets will be vaccinated against Rabies in order to achieve Zero Rabies by 2030. Awareness Brochures will also be distributed among owners of the pets so it will be source of spreading awareness among community against Rabies.
Students are the most important part of the society for raising awareness about an event, for taking steps against an issue and for the betterment of the future. For this reason, SAVERS organized a Workshop for Hands on practice of students. Professional Vets will taught students about Rabies, its prevention and control. They will learn about dog's behavior and emotions. They will learn to handle stray dogs. Vet students will learn to Capture and Vaccinate the Stray dogs.
The Cabinet Members of SAVERS will done all the courses regarding Rabies available on GARC Education Platform.
