How it all started with a meeting in town

We have embraced the whole month of September to help raise awareness. We started with the vaccination of dogs in our town followed by a talk from a rabies expert who visited us. We will be planning more vaccination clinics. We arranged for the Department of Agriculture to train 14 people here as Rabies Vaccinators last week, and with these people we have formed a group to assist both with vaccination campaigns and in raising rabies awareness.

We are using educational material given to us by the Department of Agriculture to assist with the education of people of all ages in rural communities.

On Sat 2nd September we will be visiting a food parcel distribution centre to talk about rabies & distribute educational material.

We plan to repeat this in a different rural area the following weekend, and to schedule further educationals in the weeks ahead.

On 3rd September we will have a stand at a community event to raise awareness and distribute educational material.

We are in the process of raising funds to assist with the education of rural communities that do not have access to social or digital media.

We distributed educational material at eShowe Mall 16th September.

We held a vaccination campaign and educational for the community in the Simunye area 17th September.
