The BIG FIX Uganda will be providing rabies vaccinations, de-worming, rabies education, and responsible dog guardianship training in Pajule Subcounty, Pader District  for three days, 26-28 September 2017.

Pader District has not had the opportunity to provide mass rabies vaccinations to its dog guardians.  In recent times, there have been several outbreaks of rabies cases in the Pajule sub-county area, where there are a large number of dog guardians.  In an effort to bring attention to the plight of dogs and people in this area, and to seek international support for mass vaccination of dogs in the district, we shall hold vaccination points on World Rabies Day and aim to administer 1,000 or more vaccinations.

Clinics will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. daily.  Services to be provided shall include:  rabies vaccination, de-worming, treatment of wounds and injuries, health assessments by vet doctors, and training guardians in grooming and washing their dogs.  Clinics will be held at Wanduku (Subcounty Headquarters), Alim Trading Center, and Pajule Trading Center.
