This event was organised at the Bangalore university Jnana Bharati campus as a part of the National Service Scheme (N S S) for youth by Malleswaram Ladies Association College of Management. "Swatch Bharat" means clean India, a movement very dear to the Prime Minister of India Honourable Sri. Narendra Modi to motivate all citizens in creating a healthy society by keeping the environment clean. India with an uncontrolled owner less dogs often has problems with unhealthy dog poop issues and the youth took to clean up the localities as a part of N S S.,
Dog associated rabies issues were discussed in an interactive awareness program. Dr. N.L. Gangadhar, senior Scientist presented an elaborate account of uncontrolled dog population, stray, incidences of dog attacks particularly on children and old in the city. It was a very keenly participated interaction with youth who took an oath to keep the environment clean and work towards freedom from Rabies.
