Rabies, the fatal zoonotic disease, is a major public health concern, particularly in developing countries.1,2 In India, an estimated 20,000 rabies death and 17.4 million animal bites occur annually.1 The early and complete post-exposure prophylaxis can prevent the disease.2 However, the prompt response to exposure is the most critical step towards the successful management of rabies.3
