Pwani Animal Welfare is a community based organization formed in 2019 to cater for animal welfare rights, needs and most importantly we are tasked to educate and communicate with our people that animals are part of the community and with compassion and responsibility we can together live in harmony.
Our first event on 28th Sept 2019. World Rabies Day was a success. A free rabies vaccination camp at Makadara Grounds at the heart of Mombasa Island in Kenya. We were overwhelmed with the positive enthusiastic response of our community considering it was the first time for such an event in that area. We vaccinated 85 cats and 23 dogs in just half a day.
