Sinebata Award
Winner
The Sinebata Awards is a festival and competition of creators of videos for and by children from the Philippines convened by Anak TV, an advocacy organization that promotes television literacy and child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the Philippines.
GARC, together with Knowledge Channel foundation, won in the category: Professional Fiction under 7 Years of Age
The award was awarded in Manila, Philippines. The video was the official entry of the Philippines for the said category in the 3rd Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children (SEAVFC) competition.

2017
Top Performing Local Government Unit in Rabies Elimination Award
Winner
GARC won the Top Performing Local Government Unit in Rabies Elimination Award for our work through the Communities Against Rabies Exposure (CARE) Project, presented at the National Rabies Summit.
The award was given in recognition of the fact that Ilocos Norte (Philippines) had zero human and canine rabies, 70% dog vaccination coverage and 90%-95% completion of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) in 2014-2016.

2016
Communications Governance Award
2nd Place
GARC received 2nd place in the Communications Governance Award for “Innovative Communications Tools for Impactful Community Work” as a result of the exemplary work that had been done as part of the "CARE" project in the Metropolitan of Sorsogon, Philippines.
The award was awarded by the Rotary Club, Sorsogon.

Information, Education, Communication (IEC) efforts using flipcharts and a "rabies corner" to educate the school children, and through initiatives involving Girl Scouts during World Rabies Day, billboards, radio plugs, brochures and the stage play, communities at-risk were educated about rabies. These efforts were acknowledged as innovative communication tools that save lives from the threat of rabies. See more of our resources to teach children here.
Best Local Government Unit Rabies Program Implementer Award
Winner
GARC won the Best Local Government Unit Rabies Program Implementer Award for our work through the Communities Against Rabies Exposure (CARE) Project.

The award was given based on our Bohol Rabies Elimination Program in the Province of Bohol, Philippines.
