World Rabies Day would be commemorated in Botswana and the host district for this year is the City of Francistown.
As part of the commemoration the following has been lined up:
Free Mass Vaccination Campaign of dogs and cats is being conducted throughout the country.
Video footages regarding Rabies Disease would be broadcasted in National TV covering interviews with Department of Veterinary Services, Department of Health Services, Department of Wildlife and National Parks, Botswana Vaccine Institute, Botswana Veterinary Surgeons Council and the OIE Regional Office in Gaborone.
The Honorable Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security would be giving a key note speech that would be broadcasted in the national Radio Station.
