The One Health Summit on Rabies and Food Animal Diseases aims to expand the groundwork for linkages and collaboration among interdisciplinary professions and fields in dealing with rabies, its control and prevention and to equip local government executives for the implementation of rabies control.

The summit will also discuss the current status of diseases in swine and cattle that may affect the food supply of the country. Both topics are relevant in the protection of health and well being of not only animals but more importantly, the Filipino people.

It is a collaborative work among Local Government Executives (Barangay Captains, Provincial Officer, Municipal and City Health Officers, Agriculturists and Veterinarians), PL-480 Advisory Council, National Advisory Council For Animal Disease Control and Emergency (NAC-ADCE), National Rabies Prevention and Control Committee (NRPCC), the Department of Health (DOH), the Academe and the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC).

The audience composes mainly of barangay captains, municipal and city veterinarians and agriculturists of the Province of Laguna in the Philippines.
