guidelines and the steps to follow if bite occur.

On the occasion of World Rabies Day, on our work in the fight against rabies and animal welfare, we give a little to our project BARRA it means INNOCENCE

Our charity, Algerian Organisation against Rabies (ex B.C.H.E), in partnership with the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, is currently carrying out a TNVR program with a target number of 1000 stray dog by September 28th . Thanks to the new updates of the FREE GARC APP, we are able to survey and track released dogs.

We also wanted to raise public awareness by distributing our kik booklet ( want a friend be a friend in arabic version) on rabies control (you can find it on the resource here in the GARC) but the lack of public and private funds forced us to reduce it to a flyer which contains the most important information about the Five Freedoms for animals as well as guidelines and the steps to follow if bite occur. We are displaying this flyer on pet shops, sticking it to car windshields, at the mosques, etc.

On a second front, we are managing a shelter for the most vulnerable street dogs on our TNVR project BARAA. The care we provide includes core vaccination (CHPR) and pest treatment (externe and interne). We are also often confronted with injuries and tumours such as Sticker’s sarcoma to TNVR Dogs.

you can visite our youtube link to have a complete vision of our work.

We wish you a successful World Rabies Day, and we hope it will be marked by many achievements for us all.
