Free of charge rabies vaccination campaign will be held in all regions of Georgia, informational brochures will be distributed in parallel of vaccination campaign. 6 locations were selected in Capital City and 64 locations in regions.

From 2013, the National Food Agency of Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has inaugurated a wide-scale prophylactic vaccination of pet animals (dogs and cats) free of charge.

Apart from vaccination, other measures are applied against the disease, including laboratory testing of pathological materials, subsequent sero-monitoring of vaccination, actions for raising awareness, and quarantine activities in case of disease detection.
As a result of vaccination, cases of rabies in animals have been reduced by 70% in animals.
