The "Aso Ko, Mahal Ko" Purok to Purok Dog Vaccination 2013 was conducted last December 12, 2013 at Brgy. Pilar, Municipality of Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay Province, Philippines.

This one day activity has successfully vaccinated 124 dogs (86.1%, excluding pregnant, sick, dead and underage dogs) and 9 cats.

Project was initiated by Mr. Michael Angelo H. Filoteo, a fourth year medical student from Ateneo de Zamboanga University-School of Medicine (ADZU-SOM) in coordination with the Local Barangay Council of Pilar, Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Health Office, Provincial Veterinary Office and UNILAB.

Pre-registration of dogs was done during the month of November, upon registration dog owners received dog tags, dog collars and a registration-vaccination card which were made from inexpensive and readily available materials.

Prior to the dog vaccination activity, Information Campaign on Rabies and Responsible Pet Ownership through lectures, leaflet distribution and tarpaulin posters were done. Moreover, a Barangay Ordinance on Responsible Pet Ownership has been approved and adopted by the Local Barangay Council of Brgy Pilar which was also approved by the Municipal Office of the Sangguniang Bayan.
