In the month of August, we will be holding a Town Hall meeting with different Stakeholders in the Health sector, such as Medical Doctors, Veterinarians, Private Organizations, and people who are at risk of contracting Rabies. This town hall will involve robust discussions and plenary sessions on how human and animal doctors can collaborate for the sole goal of eradicating Rabies in Nigeria. We will also begin education and awareness campaigns on radio and television throughout the month of August till September.

In the month of September, the veterinarians will be responsible for vaccinating dogs within local communities in Kuje and Gwagwalada in the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. There will be questionnaires to access the background knowledge on rabies, vaccination of rabies, and the pre and post-vaccination schedules for the human population. The human medic will be responsible for vaccinating at-risk individuals such as hunters, dog breeders, veterinarians, and other animal health workers.
