The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association Taraba State chapter will be embarking on Rabies prevention and control awareness campaign. The program to Mark world Rabies Day activities 2024 is as follows;
A. Having established that 40% of the victims of dog transmitted Rabies are the children, our Association have decided to extend the awareness campaign to Government Science Secondary School Jalingo Taraba State, a school that is hosting over 1000 students. This program will take place on Wednesday 18th September, 2024, our expected guest are ;
1.The commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture and Food ood Security Jalingo Taraba State Nigeria.
2.The commissioner, Ministry of Education Jalingo Taraba State, Nigeria
3.Taraba State coordinator, World Health Organization.
4.Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association (NMA)
5.The Director Veterinary Services, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria.
6.The Director public Health Ministry of Health Jalingo Taraba State.
7.The Director Environmental Health, Ministry of Environment Jalingo Taraba State Nigeria.
8.Taraba State House committee chairman on Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Jalingo Taraba State Nigeria
9.Special adviser to His Excellency, DR Agbu Kefas, the Executive Governor of Taraba State on Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Jalingo Taraba State.
B.On the second phase of the activities to Mark world Rabies Day 2024, the Association collaboration with the Chairman Nigerian Medical Association, the director Environmental Health, Ministry of Environment and Director public Health Ministry of Health, will be live on Taraba Television (TTV) studio for live chat with the general public, to create awareness, answer questions from the general public on 24th September, 2024.
C. The the same team in B above will be on the Taraba State broadcasting Station (TSBS) to carry out live chat at the radio station, Where same awareness campaign will be created.
