One Health Nepal is a non profit service Oriented Organization dedicated to improve Health and well-being through the prevention of risks and the mitigation of effect of crises that originates at the interface between humans, animals and their environment. Every year, we have been celebrating World Rabies Day with the motive to enhance Public awareness towards the importance of Zoonotic diseases, Information Sharing/Networking, free Vaccination Camp, free Health Camp, Mobilizing and encouraging, Students to play role in One health related issues Awareness Program for prevention and protection of animal cruelty. Organizing seminar and workshop and disseminating of research findings of Zoonotic disease in scientific national/international Journals.
But contrast to this, due to Covid-19 pandemic, we are obligated to do all of those but still we are going to organize
1) Information sharing
From September 16 to September 27, through our facebook page, we share an information about Rabies to educate the public and students.
2) Online School Awareness
Unlike last year, this time around we are virtually awaring the school students about the zoonotic importance of Rabies, risk factors, mitigating measures and ways to educate people in their locality.
3) Drama Script Writing Competition on Rabies
4) Online Video Awareness
5) Webinars
6) Panel Discussion on this year's theme.
7) Rabies Vaccination
If feasible, we will be vaccinating the dogs in our residence following proper safety measures issued by WHO & Nepal Government
