1. School based activities in elementary school in North Nias where one of the 5 human cases happened this early this year. It will be held in SDN Helera, Siofabanua Village, Tuhemberua sub-District, North Nias District. There will be competition for dog mask coloring (for class of 1 - 3), drawing competition for class of 4 - 6 with theme "be a responsible dog owner" and musical drama making based on rabies video that DAH and GARC produced. This event will be conducted on October 3, 2015.
2. Free full vaccination for dogs and cats, include rabies vaccination, that will be conducted on October 11, 2015. The aim of this event is to increase awareness on responsible pet ownership.
3. Rabies information campaign for orphaned children will be conducted on October 11, 2015. The participants will be 50 children from reformatory in Gunungsitoli City. The event will also include coloring and drawing competition on responsible pet ownership.
4. Rabies information campaign in villages on October 8 in sub-District of East Lahewa, North Nias District and October 13 in sub-District of Sirombu, West Nias District. Chief of villages, churchmen, staff of Puskesmas (Public Health Center) and Posyandu will be invited on the said activity.
5. Rabies seminar for doctors, nurses and midwives of Puskesmas and hospitals on October 16. Topic will be more on Animal Bite Management. Speakers will come from the province.
