Early signalling and assessment of (emerging) zoonoses in a One Health approach is essential for efficient risk management. This should be done on a local, regional, national and even European level.

This meeting is aimed at Public Health Institutes, Veterinary Institutes and policy makers from European countries, to discuss how to organise surveillance, risk analysis and management of (emerging) zoonoses in an integrated manner.

RIVM is organising this workshop for European countries, on behalf of the Dutch ministries of Public Health and Agriculture and in close collaboration with the European Food and Safety Authority (EFSA), Public Health England (PHE), the Swedish National Veterinary Institute (SVA), the Dutch Central Veterinary Institute (CVI), and the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).

We welcome one representative from a veterinary institute, public health institute, food safety authority, ministry of health and ministry of agriculture (five persons in total) per country.

Preferably, the representatives have a role in the risk analysis and/or management of zoonotic diseases. Practical information and the draft programme are available on the RIVM website http://www.rivm.nl/en/Topics/Z/Zoonotic_diseases/One_Health/European_workshop_‘One_Health_risk_analysis_structures_for_emerging_zoonoses’
