Meme competition guidelines

Goal: Create engaging memes to raise awareness about rabies prevention, control, and the importance of vaccination. Use humour and creativity to educate and inspire action against rabies.

Theme: Rabies: Awareness for Action

Sub-themes:

  1. Prevention is Key: Focus on vaccination and responsible pet ownership.
  2. Busting Myths: Address and debunk common misconceptions about rabies.
  3. Fighting rabies through One Health: Showcase communities, organisations, and individuals working together to eliminate rabies.

Guidelines:

  • Dos:
    • Use only scientifically verified information about rabies.
    •  Make your memes informative, and engaging.
    • Ensure relevance to the theme and sub-themes.
    • Any format is welcome: static image, GIF, or short video.
    • Static Image: A single, non-moving image, such as a photo or digital artwork, in formats like JPEG or PNG. This can include text, illustrations, or graphics.
    •  GIF: A looping animated image that is typically short and plays continuously. GIFs are great for adding motion or simple animations to your message, making it more dynamic and eye-catching.
    • Short Video: A brief video clip, usually no longer than 15-30 seconds, in formats like MP4. Videos can combine visuals, text, and sound to create a more immersive and engaging experience.

 

  • Don’ts:
    • Don’t use offensive language and imagery.
    • Don’t use content that might cause fear or panic.
    • Don’t use copyrighted material without permission.
    • Stay away from political, religious, or divisive content.
    • Don’t objectify animal cruelty.
    • Don’t use inappropriate language.

Voting and Judging:

  1. Judging: A panel will evaluate these memes for originality, creativity, relevance, and impact to select the winner.
  2.  Real-Time Engagement: All the shortlisted memes will be displayed on screen for the audience to review.
  3. Voting Process: A voting link or QR code will be provided, enabling participants to cast their votes instantly through their smartphones or devices.
  4. Immediate Results: Votes will be tallied live, and the meme with the highest votes will be highlighted as the audience's choice.
  5. Final Decision: The panel will consider both the audience's choice and their own evaluations to select the final winning meme.

Submission Details:

  • Format: JPEG, PNG, GIF, or MP4.
  • Include: Your name, email, institution name, and a short description of your meme.
  • Deadline: September 18, 2023.

Prize:

First Prize: First Prize: A cash award of ₹2500 for 1st place, ₹1500 for 2nd place, and ₹1000 for 3rd place, along with a participation certificate for all participants. The best NGO contribution will receive a cash prize of ₹5000 during the next mass vaccination campaign.
