Awareness Event on Animal Welfare at Giridhari Apartments Peramcheruvu

Rabies is a  Zoonotic and Neglected Tropical  Disease (NTD). Every year in India about 18 000-20 000  rabies deaths occur. Unfortunately, most vulnerable affected are children below the age of 15 years. 

Rabies can be prevented through Canine Vaccination and Education and Awareness Programs

 

Citizens for Animals calls action to End Rabies by working with Animal Husbandry Department, Educational Department and Health Department 

- Conducting Static Vaccination camps for Community Dogs with the Support of  District Animal Husbandry Department 

- Educating the local Youth and Children through Role plays 

- Conducting Capacity Building Workshops for ASHA Workers 

- Affixing the Rabies Bite Awareness Posters across the Government  Hospitals and Primary Health Care Centers (PHCC) and Public Places

-Conducting Art Competition and Essay Writing Competition for School Children
