In collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD), 188 students from the Faculties of Veterinary Science and Health Sciences will participate in a One Health rabies vaccination campaign in Shoshanguve, northwest of Pretoria, South Africa. Every day from 26 to 30 September a group of approximately 36 students will assist GDARD veterinarians and animal health technicians with the administration of vaccine to dogs and they will engage with dog owners and other community members about the impact of zoonotic disease, focusing on rabies. On 28 September, World Rabies Day will be celebrated in the Soshanguve community.
