Due to Covid-19, We celebrate World Rabies Day this year virtually by connecting with children and teachers. A number of online sessions will be arranged at the local community level by our team members.
School children will be educated about rabies, its mode of transmission, and how they can protect themselves in the presence of free-roaming dogs. Moreover, we will also do meetings with schoolteachers to spread the rabies prevention message on a large scale. The purpose is to aware the teachers that "Rabies is a shared responsibility" and being a teacher their role is vital to reduce dog bites in small children by educating them at school.
