JBF is a non-government organization working for animal welfare since 2003. Broadly JBF concerns and works on Rabies Control under Humane Dog Population which includes core activities like animal birth control operation and anti-rabies vaccinations. JBF also works on Awareness Drive among the human population about the importance of co-existence with animals. Each yearvJBF provides Post Flood Veterinary Support in the flood affected areas.
This year also under the theme of "Rabies: One Health, Zero Deaths" JBF is planning to create awareness among people about rabies through performing street play in in different places of Guwahati. The basic purpose of street play is to create awareness on "One Health, Zero Death" concept and to 'fund raise' from the general public as JBF is continuously working on Rabies Control program since 2007.
JBF is also planning to conduct free Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive all across Northeast of India. Under the vaccination program some private pet clinics of different places will tie-up with JBF to carry forward the drive successfully.
