For years, the Veterinary Student Achievers' Society - Mu Eta Upsilon (VSAS-MEU) has taken part on the advocacy of rabies elimination by conducting mass anti-rabies vaccinations together with its partner LGUs, the Municipality of Llanera and City of Gapan, Nueva Ecija, accompanied by educational seminars through our One health Initiative Program. this year could have been another series of Saturdays spent on a house-to-house anti-rabies vaccinations if only the pandemic, Covid-19, didn't happen. Nonetheless, VSAS-MEU stays committed on its years-long advocacy of ending rabies through campaigns regarding rabies prevention and elimination by launching an online awareness campaign.
In celebration of the World Rabies Day, a week-long event of the online edition of our VSAS KONTRA RABIES project will be held this year. An online trivia quiz entitled "Rabid sa Kaalaman" will commence from September 28 up to October 2, 2020. Questions will be posted on our official Facebook page. At the same time, concise and informative rabies infographics will be posted on the same page. AlsotAlso aswas aba jumpajump start,w held via zoom, and will be streamed live on our Youtube channel, on September 28, 2020 with our resource speaker Dr. Mann Cyron Sarmiento.
