
IVSA Rampur is a non-profit and technical organisation formed with the motive to uplift Veterinary Education and Animal Health, established in Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. IVSA Rampur is a chapter organisation of IVSA Nepal which has been working for the benefit of People, Animal and Nation. IVSA Rampur has been conducting various activities such as vaccination campaigns, webinars, animal health camps, street dramas, photo competitions, presentation competitions, training, etc., since its establishment.
Like every year, IVSA Rampur this year is going to be involved in 'World Rabies Day' focusing on the theme 'End Rabies: Collaborate, Vaccinate' and a goal to end human deaths due to rabies from dog bites by 2030. IVSA Rampur has to modify its projects this year due to the COVID-19 crisis but is trying its best to have an impact. IVSA Rampur plans to organise a week-long event listed below.
- Virtual talk programs with highly experienced and skilled speakers from different fields of veterinary such as wildlife, epidemiology, small animal practitioners, microbiologists, etc., all majorly focusing on the impacts and control of rabies.
- Free vaccinations campaigns of dogs and cats will be conducted by the members of IVSA Rampur from different parts of the country following proper guidelines and safety measures to reduce rabies transmissions.
- Radio talk shows focusing on the general public and Online school awareness program focusing on the school children who are the most common rabies-infected age group.
- Online one-day quiz competition on rabies and Slogan competition focusing on rabies to increase the knowledge of veterinary students of which, the questions of the quiz will be posted on the official Facebook page every hour on the 28th of September.
- Awareness Videos on rabies and Daily interesting facts on rabies will also be available on the official page of IVSA Rampur all week long.
