Ward 19 Wyebank Clinic World rabies campaign took place on the 30th of September 2024 . The training focussed on both staff and Wyebank community members . Community members were educated on importance of vaccination while Health workers were educated on importance of filling notification forms accutately and also on rapid response in terms of notifications. We expirienced 90 percent rain on this day but due to excellent community mobilization we manage to vaccinate 184 dogs and 5 cats
Ward 20 Kwabeka community Health Centre campaign took place on the 2nd of October .The campaign was hosted by West 1 Environmental Health intergrating with CDC ,Community Health facilitator ,and State Vet . Morning session began by training nurses and afternoon session was dedicated to vaccination drive wgich took place at Egcakini Area and Mcopheleli primary Sport ground. The campaign was successful and we vaccinated 117 dogs and 3 cats .
