Vets Beyond Borders recruits and deploys volunteer veterinarians and veterinary nurses from across the globe to deliver animal health and community awareness programs where they are desperately needed.
In countries where rabies is an ever-present threat to humans and animals, VBB volunteers work tirelessly with animal birth control and anti-rabies immunisation (ABC-AR) projects, dramatically increasing the number of animals that receive such care and reducing the risks of spread of this dreadful, but entirely preventable, disease.
VBB will run a global rabies awareness campaign via online and social media to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination, in line with this year's World Rabies Day theme 'Rabies: Vaccinate to Eliminate'.
