In celebration of World Rabies Day, the Provincial Government of Albay, through the Albay Veterinary Office, is organizing a Free Mass Spaying and Castration Event for dogs and cats on September 28, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Albay Farmers' Auditorium, located in the Albay Farmers Bounty Village, Cabangan, Camalig, Albay.
The event, themed "Breaking Rabies Boundaries", will also offer free rabies vaccinations and other animal health services to promote pet health and safety. In addition, a short lecture on Responsible Pet Ownership and Animal Bite Management, as well as Rabies Education and Awareness, will be conducted to further educate the public on preventing rabies and managing animal bites.
Volunteer student clinicians and veterinarians from the Rodeo Club Philippines - Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Chapter, along with veterinarians from the Bicol Veterinary Medical Association, Department of Agriculture and the Bicol Companion Animal Veterinary Practitioners Association, will provide their expertise to ensure the event's success.
Pet owners are highly encouraged to bring their pets and participate in this initiative as we work together towards a rabies-free Albay!
