Veterinary Students for Animal Welfare (Vet-SAW) is a student led, non-profit organization which, since its establishment has been continuously working to educate, aware and inform about the importance of Animal Welfare in both the veterinary students as well as the general public. Unlike last year, where we were able to conduct a mass vaccination in our local communities, this year to mitigate and co operate the demand of ongoing pandemic due to COVID-19 where everyone is expected to stay home as stated by the nation, Vet-SAW is organizing a month long awareness campaign for September through tits virtual medium.
This entire month of September is dedicated to raise awareness on Rabies and the importance of Rabies vaccination. Following events are being conducted through all of our social medias like Facebook, Instagram and Youtube channels:
1. Online Rabies Creativity Contest:
Specially targeted to youths, this contest is to showcase one's way of raising awareness against Rabies through any art or media. Participants by sticking to the criteria and thematic areas, can submit their artwork, videos, articles, songs, digital work and even tik tok videos to raise awareness on Rabies. The contest cash prize which is worth 600USD$ has been sponsored by Bishal Vet Clinic and Nepal's best animal welfare organization like Sneha's care.

It's important to know how the pet owners are taking care of their pets and their views on vaccination. These stories will be shared through our social media to inspire other pet owners and to encourage them to vaccinate their pet on time.
Besides these, we will be actively sharing contents related to educate and aware people by sharing Rabies related facts, findings and engaging posts.
