Starting from the 18th of September, there are going to be rabies prevention education outreaches to all basic schools in the district, update of management of rabies exposures for clinicians, vaccination of dogs and other pets in conjunction with the School of Veterinary Medicine of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science, and Technology (KNUST). Other stakeholders include the Regional Health Administration, the District Veterinary Services, the District office of the Ghana Education service and the Bosomtwe District Assembly.
The campaign will be climaxed with a durbar in one of the communities (Aputuogya) which will be covered by both print and electronic media to further disseminate the information to a wider audience.
