In addition, all animals admitted to its facility are also vaccinated against rabies compulsorily. This is important to keep the environment safe from the virus - and given the new Vision everyone has set to end Rabies by 2030.
Its Public Awareness Programme consists of visiting groups, individuals and organizations both outside and inside its facility to increase general public awareness on animal welfare, and staying safe from rabies in Kathmandu.
KAT Centre also has volunteers from various parts of the world coming and helping them with treatments and rescues of animals, monitoring the animals while under their care and other activities related to volunteering for animals.
