Puskeswan Pasirjambu (Center for Animal Health) is an animal health post under the Department of Agriculture Bandung District, and is located in an area with a high risk of rabies. Puskeswan Pasirjambu conducts annual rabies vaccination programs. In 2019 it vaccinated 850 animals in villages at a high risk of rabies. It got much needed support from various parties, especially the local government. Puskeswan Pasirjambu considered the need for effective communication with dog owners to ensure that they made their animals available for vaccination. It also focuses on surveillance and monitoring of rabies in dogs, including from places providing dog meat and dog that die from traffic accidents.
Puskeswan Pasirjambu conducts education and outreach in the surrounding communities and elementary students.
