What is the BCT?
The Bite Case Tracker (BCT) is a tool that enables you to track and monitor animal (and snake) bites at a community level in real time. The tool quickly and easily captures a comprehensive set of data for each bite victim and immediately generates outputs that allows you to monitor where bite cases are occurring.
The BCT tool supplements existing health data reporting systems by collecting vital bite case data within communities.
Why should I use the BCT?

What data does the BCT capture?

What are the outputs from the BCT?
- Maps indicating where bite-cases occurred in the community.
- Visual analyses of recorded bite case data.
Is the BCT a patient management system or a tool intended to replace existing health information systems?
No, the BCT tool is not a patient management system and is thus not intended to replace any existing surveillance or health information systems. In fact, the intended use of the BCT tool is to supplement any existing health data reporting systems by collecting vital bite case data within communities – in so doing gathering vital information that is often not collected at all.
